Rochester College Improves to 5-2

For any of you following former Lockport Express defenseman, Jacob Burford, after his move to Rochester College in Michigan, the Warriors improved to 5-2 after a 3-game weekend that saw RC take two wins.

In Friday night action, Rochester took down Mercyhurst, 5-1. Matt Kadolph and TJ Burns each netted a pair, with Michael DiFranco scoring the fifth RC goal. Burford assisted on Burns' first goal and had 4 minutes in penalties. Darnell Clarke scored the lone goal for Mercyhurst.

Saturday evening Rochester met Slippery Rock and defeated them 7-1. Brock Malatches and Kyle Truscott scored two goals apiece, with Matt Kadolph, TJ Burns, and Ryan Jaros adding their own tallies. Nate Mettenburg scored for Slippery Rock.

Sunday, RC played an unnamed ACHA team (Still searching for the team name). The Warriors were felled by this mystery team, 6-3. Matt Kadolph, Kyle Truscott, and Ryan Jaros scored for Rochester College. (As a side note -- if anyone knows the name of the team Rochester played for this game, please let me know.)

Rochester College Warriors are back to the rink for a home and home series with Adrian College Thursday and Friday nights at 8pm.
